Cardboard Standee Resume...

Catching the hiring decision-makers' eye is the name of the game. This method is sure to do that. Imagine seeing one of these among a pile of boring black-and-white chronological resumes. Admit it, you'd look closer. Mission accomplished.

Put an ad up on Craigslist for a graphic designer and set your own (low) budget for this project. In all likelihood, the graphic designer will be able to recommend a good printer who can print 100+ copies of your new knock-your-socks-off cardboard standee resume. Think outside-of-the-box, folks. And yes, in this new economy, you may have to spend money to get noticed. Look at it as an investment in yourself.

Have you created a cardboard standee resume yet?
